Best knife I ever used.
I have this knife from 3 years ago and the one I received from this company is lighter, the steel is flexible, the logo is different, and it is clearly more cheaply manufactured. It does say made in Germany so...Also note, this company does not accept returns. Unfortunately, I ordered quantity 2 by accident and I am stuck with both. $300 down the drain...
Great quality. Priced high.
I purchased this Wusthof serrated utility knife to replace another Wusthof knife. The previous knife was a serrated "tomato" knife of about the same length. That knife was still in decent, but not great condition after 30+ years of use. The ergonomic handle on this knife is nicer than the older knife, and it is great at cutting tomatoes, smaller crusty bread and other items. I'm sure this will last as long as it's predecessor. A bit pricey compared to other choices in this category, but if you figure you are getting 30 years out of it, not a bad value.
Wusthof knives live up to all the praise and positive reviews I read about them. I purchased three different knives from Wusthof and they are all excellent. Worth the money.
WÜSTHOF Classic IKON 5" Serrated Utility Knife:Nothing wrong with it. I purchased it to replace a similar CUTCO serrated utility which had a more comfortable handle and cut just as well. My only quibble is that this knife feels like it should be an 80 dollar knife, not double that. The thinner flexible blade tends to wander on tougher items like small potatoes - meaning thickness at top of cut is different from bottom(slanted cuts)....maybe a slicing technique will develop later. Overall, a fine sharp knife for most uses. I will keep it.
Best knife ever made. Slowly upgrading my knives sets. They’re expensive but very well worth
It’s a Wüsthof Classic IKON so it’s high quality and pretty sharp thus far. It’s have been only a week. So, we’ll see how long it’s going to stay as sharp. It’s expensive so hopefully it is the last utility knife of my lifetime.
Did not receive the knife in the picture, I received an older version which did not match my set. Specifically bought this knife to match.
