Sharp and cuts well. Because they are so expensive, I wash by hand. All of my cutlery is by Wusthof. I've tried many brands over many years and I found Wusthof to be the best-- quality, sharpness, high grade metal, fine workmanship and durability. The best.
This knife was top rated by America's Test Kitchen for serrated edge paring knives. For a knife this size, it is expensive, but, if you must have the best, it will not disappoint. I actually prefer a straight blade but for certain tasks, a serrated blade works better. This knife is easy to hold though I like the Victorinox handle better. This knife is extremely sharp and will stay sharp longer because of the serated design. The major con is the price.
This is the best paring knife ever! Recommended by America's Test Kitchen, it was so good that when I accidentally threw my old one away I immediately bought another.
This is my second purchase. The reason being someone threw out my other knife with the garbage. This knife is a dream. Stays sharp and very versatile. I cannot recommend this knife enough. I know it is not cheap but as long as someone, who will not be named, does not throw your knife in the garbage it will last a lifetime.Updated 3 years later and still the best knife. I am very careful to account for it's whereabouts. Again it is not cheap but it will last forever.
These knifes are perfect for many uses. My favorite is to use them as steak knives. Extremely sharp. Only draw back is their price.
Good quality little knife that could slice your pinky off if you tried.... Works great and worth every penny.
Wusthoff Classic knives have long been a staple in my kitchens. I have often said that if could have only one knife, it would be the 5-inch serrated utility knife. This 3.5 inch one is a close second. It is very sharp and great for slicing tomatoes and other vegetables, baguettes of small diameter, small rolls, hard cheese and even small pieces of meat. It is easy to handle. My husband loves it too!
Does an excellent job of cutting tomatoes and other fruit and veggies. As with all serrated knives I know of, the blade serration in only on one side of the knife edge, so it will turn sharply to the left for a right-handed users -- unless you hold it very firmly
I purchased the WÜSTHOF Model 40663-7/09, Classic 3.5 Inch Fully-Serrated Paring Knife for my husband. He uses it to cut tomatoes and he said he loves it. He used to use a steak knife before and is super happy with the sharp serrated edge of this WÜSTHOF.
If you eat, you need this knife. This is probably the only knife you’ll ever use. I’ve never used a knife this sharp & versatile. Cuts & slices everything. You will not regret purchasing it.
