WÜSTHOF CLASSIC 8" Carving Knife has a longer and narrower blade than a Cook’s Knife. This allows for the knife to cleanly cut through meats. The pointed tip is designed to help guide meat away from the bone. The hollow edge is crafted with evenly spaced vertical indentations, which create small air pockets between the blade and the food. These small air pockets gently push food off the blade and reduce friction and drag.

  This is probably the third or fourth addition to my Wusthof knife collection. Got it as a Treasure Truck special, and I'm so glad I did! The large carving knife is incredibly sharp and beautifully balanced. I wasn't expecting the "bonus" knives to have plastic handles, but the blades are also really sharp. The big knife alone was worth the cost, so I'm OK with the other knives having plastic handles.

  I've always wanted a decent carving knife and I got this when Amazon had a flash sale.Still a bit too pricy for me but it cut my Thanksgiving turkey like butter. I also like the size, not too big and not too small to maneuver around the turkey, chicken and prime rib.I also love the bonus paring knives that came with the order. They seem very sharp and I use them everyday to cut up my fruits and vege.

  The balance and control of the knife is great. Not quite large enough tang to become the workhorse of the kitchen but is close. Love it so far and can see ordering this knife again.

  I've had wusthof knives for 2 dozen years...and I've never had a knife this long. It's perfect for slicing meats and will, I'm sure hold a blade for years to come.If you're wondering whether or not to buy expensive knives, I say go for it. Skimp elsewhere. You'll make this purchase once in your life!

  These are amazing! I love them so much. I bought them from Treasure Truck for my hubby for Christmas because he is a chef and all his knives are in a knife fold...I wanted Goid knives for everyday use.

  The smaller knives are very sharp but look cheap. Something from the dollar store. Which they were nice like the large knife.

  It was a great knife until it wasn’t. Didn’t last 2 years so really disappointed. The small knives are still okay however one of them started rusting. Not sure if these are knockoffs because the quality just isn’t the same to my mothers chef set which has lasted over a decade.

  We loved this knife until if fell off the kitchen counter and broke in two pieces. Our kitchen floor is laminate so it was a little surprising that's all it took. Might buy another one and try to be more careful with it.
